III National Mandolin and Guitar Meeting - 2024

The III National Mandolin and Guitar Meeting "III ENBG" will be held from 3 to 7 July on Madeira Island. It is organised jointly by the Madeira Mandolin Association, the Plectro Cultural Association and the Quinto Império Association (hosts) and has the support of teachers from the following schools and conservatories:
· Coimbra Conservatory of Music
· Vila Real Conservatory of Music
· Esposende Music School
· Porto Conservatory of Music
· Madeira Conservatory of Music
The ENBG aims to be a space for sharing and exchanging experiences for all those interested in stringed instruments and will consist of the following activities:
- Internship of the Portuguese Plectrum Youth Orchestra.
- Concerts.
- Conferences.
This project culminates in the "OJPlectro.pt" Portuguese Plectrum Youth Orchestra, in which 3rd cycle and secondary school students aged between 12 and 18 take part.
The following instruments are also admitted to take part in the Internship, according to the vacancies that will be established by the organising committee:
- Harp
- Portuguese guitar
- Double bass
Guitar and mandolin students from schools that don't have official courses running can also take part, as long as there are vacancies left over from the schools/conservatories that are part of the Meeting's organisation.
This internship costs 150€, which includes the workshops, accommodation and meals.

Accommodation and meals will be the responsibility of the organisation hosting the internship, which this year will be the Madeira Mandolin Association's privilege.
It will therefore be held at the RG3 (Garrison Regiment No. 3, in Nazaré, Funchal).
